New UK Energy Ratings Explained
What is happening?
The A+++ to D rating system has been replaced by a new A to G rating.
Why is this happening?
Over time, the old system became complicated with no room for growth. In order to simplify the system and encourage manufacturers to produce even more efficient appliances, the goal posts have been moved.
This means a Fridge that was A+ could now be rated E
